Jọn  7 : 1 - 52

7 After this Jesus continued traveling about in Galʹi·lee, for he did not want to do so in Ju·deʹa because the Jews were seeking to kill him.

7 Iyeke ọni, Jesu kegha mu okhian lele Galili khian, ọ ma hoo nọ mu okhian lele otọ e Judia, rhunmwuda, te Ivbi e Ju ghaa hoo ne iran gbe ẹre rua.

2 However, the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was near.

2 Sokpan, vbe ẹghẹ na nian, Ugie Ibọkpọ ọghe Ivbi e Ju bu otọ nẹ.

3 So his brothers said to him: “Leave here and go into Ju·deʹa, so that your disciples may also see the works you are doing.

4 For no one does anything in secret when he seeks to be known publicly. If you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”

5 His brothers were, in fact, not exercising faith in him.

5 A ye ta ena ta na, etiọnrẹn ma mu ẹtin yan rẹn.

6 So Jesus said to them: “My time has not yet arrived, but your time is always at hand.

6 Jesu na ghi tama iran wẹẹ: “Ẹghẹ mwẹ ma he sẹ. Sokpan, ọghe uwa lughaẹn, wa sẹtin gha khian vbe ẹghẹ nọ rhirhi khọn uwa.

7 The world has no reason to hate you, but it hates me, because I bear witness about it that its works are wicked.

7 Emwi ọkpa i rrọọ nọ khian ya agbọn na gha khẹko uwa, sokpan, iran khẹko mwẹ, rhunmwuda ne I na tama iran wẹẹ iwinna ne iran ru i maan.

8 You go up to the festival; I am not yet going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.”

8 Wa gha rrie nene ugie; mẹ ma he mu egbe ne I khian ya yo, rhunmwuda, ẹghẹ mwẹ ma he wa sẹ.”

9 So after he told them these things, he remained in Galʹi·lee.

9 Ọ ghi gu iran guan fo nẹ, ọ na ye gha rre Galili.

10 But when his brothers had gone up to the festival, then he also went up, not openly but in secret.

10 Sokpan, etiọnrẹn ghi kpa gha rrie ugie nii nẹ, irẹn na vbe gha khian, sokpan, ọ ma gi emwa bẹghe ẹre vbe ọ khian.

11 So the Jews began looking for him at the festival and saying: “Where is that man?”

11 Ivbi e Ju keghi suẹn gha gualọe khian vbe ugie nii, iran na gha kha wẹẹ: “Okpia nii vbo yi?”

12 And there was a lot of subdued talk about him among the crowds. Some would say: “He is a good man.” Others would say: “He is not. He misleads the crowd.”

Eso na vbe kha wẹẹ: “Ẹ i re ọmwa esi. Te ọ mu emwa rẹrẹ.”

13 Of course, no one would speak about him publicly because of fear of the Jews.

13 Sokpan, a ma miẹn ọmwa rhọkpa nọ ta ẹmwẹ ọnrẹn vbe idagbo, rhunmwuda ne ohan Ivbi e Ju na gha mu iran.

14 When the festival was half over, Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching.

15 And the Jews were astonished, saying: “How does this man have such a knowledge of the Scriptures when he has not studied at the schools?”

15 Ọ keghi wa kpa Ivbi e Ju odin, iran na gha kha wẹẹ: “Vbe oko na ya rẹn Ebe Nọhuanrẹn sẹrriọ hẹ yi, ugbẹnvbe a miẹn wẹẹ, ọ ma yo owebe?”

16 Jesus, in turn, answered them and said: “What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him who sent me.

16 Jesu na ghi wanniẹn iran wẹẹ: “Emwi ne I ma emwa ẹre i re ọghe obọ mwẹ, sokpan, ọghe ọmwa nọ gie mwẹ rre nọ.

17 If anyone desires to do His will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or I speak of my own originality.

17 Adeghẹ ọmwaikọmwa hoo nọ ru emwi ne Osanobua hoo, ọ gha rẹn deghẹ emwi ne I ma emwa ẹre, obọ Osanobua ẹre ọ ke rre, ra ẹmwẹ obọ mwẹ ẹre I ta.

18 Whoever speaks of his own originality is seeking his own glory; but whoever seeks the glory of the one who sent him, this one is true and there is no unrighteousness in him.

18 Ọmwaikọmwa nọ zẹ ẹmwẹ obọ ẹre ta, uyi egbe ẹre, ẹre ọ gualọ; sokpan, ọmwaikọmwa nọ gualọ uyi ọghe ọmwa nọ gie ẹre uhunmwu, ọnọna ọre ọmwa ata, nai miẹn emwi dan vbe obọ ẹre.

19 Moses gave you the Law, did he not? But not one of you obeys the Law. Why are you seeking to kill me?”

19 Ẹ i re Mozis ẹre ọ gbẹnnẹ Uhi rhie ne uwa? Sokpan, wa rhọkpa i lele Uhi nii.

20 The crowd answered: “You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill you?”

21 In answer Jesus said to them: “One deed I performed, and you are all surprised.

22 For this reason Moses has given you circumcision—not that it is from Moses, but it is from the forefathers—and you circumcise a man on a sabbath.

22 Wa yerre wẹẹ, e Mozis ẹre ọ we ne uwa gha rhuẹ—sokpan, ẹ i re ẹghẹ e Mozis ẹre ọ ya suẹn, ẹghẹ ọghe avbe erha uwa odede ẹre ọ suẹnrẹn—ke ẹghẹ nii gha dee, ẹre uwa ke rhuẹ emọ ikpia, uhiẹn vbe ẹdẹ ikẹtin.

23 If a man receives circumcision on a sabbath so that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you violently angry at me because I made a man completely well on a sabbath?

24 Stop judging by the outward appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

25 Then some of the inhabitants of Jerusalem began to say: “This is the man they are seeking to kill, is it not?

26 And yet see! he is speaking in public, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers come to know for certain that this is the Christ?

26 Ẹ i re irẹn ẹre ọ guan vbe azagba na? A ma miẹn ọmwa nọ gu ẹre guan. Te iran ni khaevbisẹ ghi rẹn nẹ wẹẹ, irẹn ẹre ọ gele re Kristi ra?

27 On the contrary, we know where this man is from; yet when the Christ comes, no one is to know where he is from.”

27 Sokpan, ma rẹn ehe ne okpia na ke rre; e Kristi gha rre, ọmwa rhọkpa i khian rẹn ehe nọ ke rre.”

28 Then as he was teaching in the temple, Jesus called out: “You know me and you know where I am from. And I have not come of my own initiative, but the One who sent me is real, and you do not know him.

28 Vbe Jesu ghi ma emwa emwi vbe ọgua Osa, ọ keghi tọn urhu ẹre mu, ọ na kha wẹẹ: “Wa rẹn mwẹ, wa vbe rẹn ehe ne I ke rre. I ma ya ẹtin obọ mwẹ rre, sokpan, Ọmwa ẹre ọ gie mwẹ rre; Ọmwa nii nọ gie mwẹ rre gele rrọọ, wa ma rẹn ọnrẹn.

29 I know him, because I am a representative from him, and that One sent me.”

29 Sokpan, I rẹn ọnrẹn, rhunmwuda, mẹ ẹre ọ ya zẹ ihe egbe; irẹn ẹre ọ gie mwẹ rre.”

30 So they began seeking to get hold of him, but no one laid a hand on him, for his hour had not yet come.

30 Iran na suẹn gha gualọ vbene iran khian ya muẹn hẹ, sokpan, a ma miẹn ọmwa nọ ya obọ kaan rẹn, rhunmwuda, ẹghẹ ọre ma he sẹ.

31 Still, many of the crowd put faith in him, and they were saying: “When the Christ comes, he will not perform more signs than this man has done, will he?”

31 Ọrheyerriọ, emwa nibun ni gbẹbu vba keghi mu ẹtin yan rẹn, iran na gha kha wẹẹ: “E Kristi gha rre, ọ gha ma ru iwinna ọyunnuan nọ sẹ ọghe okpia na?”

32 The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things about him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to seize him.

32 Ugbẹnvbe avbe Farisi ghi họn wẹẹ, emwa ni gbẹbu ta ẹmwẹ na vbekpa e Jesu, ke iran kevbe avbe ọkaolotu ohẹn keghi gie avbe ọgbalegbe, ne iran ya mu e Jesu.

33 Jesus then said: “I will be with you a little while longer before I go to the One who sent me.

33 Ẹre Jesu na ghi kha wẹẹ: “I gha gu uwa gha rrọọ vbe ovbi ẹghẹ kherhe, I ke bu Ọmwa nii nọ gie mwẹ rre.

34 You will look for me, but you will not find me, and where I am you cannot come.”

34 Wa gha gualọ mwẹ, sokpan, wa i khian miẹn mwẹ, wa i khian vbe sẹtin rrie ehe ne I ye.”

35 Therefore, the Jews said among themselves: “Where does this man intend to go, so that we will not find him? He does not intend to go to the Jews dispersed among the Greeks and teach the Greeks, does he?

35 Ivbi e Ju na ghi suẹn gha gu egbe guan wẹẹ: “De ehe ne okpia na rrie yi, nọ na wẹẹ, ma i khian sẹtin miẹn irẹn? Te ọ khian ghi bu Ivbi e Ju ni zagha lele otọ e Grik ra, nọ ya gha ma Ivbi e Grik emwi ra?

36 What does he mean when he says, ‘You will look for me, but you will not find me, and where I am you cannot come’?”

36 Vbọ yae kha nọ na wẹẹ, ‘Wa gha gualọ mwẹ, sokpan, wa i khian miẹn mwẹ, wa i khian vbe sẹtin rrie ehe ne I ye’?”

37 On the last day, the great day of the festival, Jesus stood up and he called out: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

37 Ikpẹdẹ nokiekie ọghe ugie nii, ẹre ọ wa re ogiete ẹre. Vbe ẹdẹrriọ, Jesu keghi kpaegbe, ọ na tọn urhu mu, ọ na kha wẹẹ: “Ọmwaikọmwa ne ovbamẹ gbe, we nọ bu mwẹ gha dee, nọ do wọn amẹ.

38 Whoever puts faith in me, just as the scripture has said: ‘From deep within him streams of living water will flow.’”

38 Vbe nọ dekaẹn ọmwaikọmwa nọ mu ẹtin yan mwẹ, ebe nọhuanrẹn khare wẹẹ: ‘Ẹzẹ nọ rhie arrọọ ne ọmwa, ghi gha ke uwu egbe ẹre lẹẹ ladian.’”

39 However, he said this concerning the spirit, which those who put faith in him were about to receive; for as yet there was no spirit, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

39 Vbọrhirhighayehẹ, te Jesu ta ẹmwẹ na, rhunmwuda orhiọn nọhuanrẹn nọ gha rherhe sẹ iran obọ ighẹ emwa ni mu ẹtin yan rẹn; vbe ẹghẹ na kha na, orhiọn nọhuanrẹn ma he sẹ iran obọ, rhunmwuda, Osanobua ma he mu e Jesu ye ukpo nọ yo.

40 Some in the crowd who heard these words began saying: “This really is the Prophet.”

40 Eso vbe uwu iran ni gbẹbu ghi họn ẹmwẹ nọ tae na, iran na gha kha wẹẹ: “Ọna ẹre ọ gele re nene Akhasẹ.”

41 Others were saying: “This is the Christ.” But some were saying: “The Christ is not coming out of Galʹi·lee, is he?

41 Eso na gha kha wẹẹ: “Ọna ọre nene Kristi.” Sokpan, eso na gha kha wẹẹ: “E Galili ẹre a wẹẹ e Kristi khian ke rre ra?

42 Does the scripture not say that the Christ is coming from the offspring of David and from Bethʹle·hem, the village where David was?”

42 Ẹ i re uniẹn e Devid ẹre ebe nọhuanrẹn wẹẹ e Kristi khian la rre? Ọ ma vbe kha wẹẹ, e Bẹtlẹhẹm nọ re igue ne Devid ghaa ye, ẹre Kristi khian ke rre ra?”

43 So a division over him arose among the crowd.

44 Some of them, though, wanted to seize him, but no one laid his hands on him.

44 Eso te gha hoo ne iran muẹn, sokpan, a ma miẹn ọmwa nọ ya obọ kaan rẹn.

45 Then the officers went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, and the latter said to them: “Why did you not bring him in?”

46 The officers replied: “Never has any man spoken like this.”

47 In turn the Pharisees answered: “You have not been misled also, have you?

47 Avbe Farisi na ghi tama iran wẹẹ: “Te uwa ghi vbe rre usun emwa nọ mu rẹrẹ ra?

48 Not one of the rulers or of the Pharisees has put faith in him, has he?

48 Wa he miẹn enọ mu ẹtin yan rẹn vbe uwu iran ni khaevbisẹ, ra avbe Farisi ra?

49 But this crowd who do not know the Law are accursed people.”

49 Wa ma miẹn emwa ni gbẹbu na, ni ma rẹn Uhi, emwa na fi ẹre unu ẹre iran khin.”

50 Nic·o·deʹmus, who had come to him previously and who was one of them, said to them:

50 E Nikodimọs, nọ ka bu e Jesu rre vbe asẹ ọkpa, nọ vbe gha re ọkpa vbe avbe Farisi keghi tama iran wẹẹ:

51 “Our Law does not judge a man unless it first hears from him and learns what he is doing, does it?”

51 “Zẹvbe ne Uhi ima khare, ọmwa ma na zẹ enunu ẹnrẹn nẹ, na vbe gualọ otọ emwi nọ ru nẹ, a vbe bu abe gbe ẹre ra?”

52 In answer they said to him: “You are not also out of Galʹi·lee, are you? Search and see that no prophet is to be raised up out of Galʹi·lee.”

52 Iran na ghi wanniẹn ọnrẹn wẹẹ: “Wẹ i te re Ovbi e Galili, vbe uwẹ a na guan vbenian hẹ? Ya tie Ebe Nọhuanrẹn ne u ghee ẹre, u gha miẹn wẹẹ akhasẹ rhọkpa i khian ke Galili rre.”
