17 Jesus spoke these things, and raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your son so that your son may glorify you,
17 Jesu ghi ta ẹmwẹ na hia nẹ, ọ na tọn aro mu ghee ẹrinmwi, ọ na wẹẹ: “Evbavba, ẹghẹ sẹ nẹ nian. Mu uyi ye ovbuẹ egbe, ne ovbuẹ mieke na vbe rhie uyi nuẹn.
2 just as you have given him authority over all flesh, so that he may give everlasting life to all those whom you have given to him.
2 U rhie asẹ nẹẹn nọ ya gha khaevbisẹ yan emwa hia, nọ mieke na sẹtin rhie arrọọ ọghe etẹbitẹ ne emwa hia ne u viọ nẹẹn.
3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
3 Emwi nọ khian ya iran gha mwẹ arrọọ ọghe etẹbitẹ, ọre ne iran do rẹn uwẹ ne Osanobua ọkpa nọ re ọghe ẹmwata, kevbe ọmwa nii ne u gie rre, nọ re Jesu Kristi.
4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do.
4 I rhie uyi nuẹn nẹ vbe agbọn na, rhunmwuda, I ru iwinna ne u mu mẹ fo nẹ.
5 So now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.
5 Nọnaghiyerriọ nian, Evbavba, mu uyi yọ mwẹ egbe, egbe uyi ne I ka gha mwẹ vbe I gu ruẹ rrọọ, a te miẹn wẹẹ a yi agbọn na.
6 “I have made your name manifest to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word.
6 “I gi emwa ne u viọ mẹ vbe agbọn na rẹn eni ruẹ nẹ. Ọghuẹ ẹre iran ghaa khin, u na viọ iran mẹ, iran vbe ya ẹmwẹ ruẹ ru emwi.
7 Now they have come to know that all the things you gave me are from you;
7 Iran rẹn nẹ nian wẹẹ, emwi hia ne u viọ mẹ, obọ ruẹ ẹre ọ ke rre;
8 because I have given them the sayings that you gave me, and they have accepted them and have certainly come to know that I came as your representative, and they have believed that you sent me.
8 rhunmwuda, emwi ne I họn vbe unu ruẹ, I tama iran nẹ, iran vbe miẹn ọnrẹn yi nẹ. Iran na gele do rẹn wẹẹ, te I rre zẹvbe ọmwa ne u ya zẹ ihe egbe, iran na vbe yayi wẹẹ, wẹ ẹre ọ gie mwẹ rre.
9 I make request concerning them; I make request, not concerning the world, but concerning those whom you have given me, because they are yours;
9 Te imẹ ghi mu ẹmwẹ iran ye erhunmwu nian; I ma na erhunmwu ne agbọn na, sokpan, ẹmwẹ iran ne u viọ mẹ, ẹre I mu ye erhunmwu, rhunmwuda, ọghuẹ ẹre iran khin.
10 and all my things are yours and yours are mine, and I have been glorified among them.
10 Emwi hia ne I mwẹ, ọghuẹ nọ, emwi hia ne uwẹ vbe mwẹ, ọghomwẹ vbe nọ; a vbe rhie uyi mẹ nẹ vbe uwu ẹbu iran.
11 “I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name, which you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.
11 “I i khian ghi gha rre agbọn na nian, rhunmwuda, I bu ruẹ dee. Sokpan, iran ye rre agbọn na. Evbavba Nọhuanrẹn, lahọ gbaroghe iran, rhunmwuda eni ruẹ ne u mu mẹ, ne iran mieke na gha re ọkpa, zẹvbe ne imẹ vbe ruẹ vbe re ọkpa.
12 When I was with them, I used to watch over them on account of your own name, which you have given me; and I have protected them, and not one of them is destroyed except the son of destruction, so that the scripture might be fulfilled.
12 Ẹghẹ ne I na gha gu iran rrọọ, I na gha gbaroghe iran, rhunmwuda eni ruẹ ne u mu mẹ; I vbe tan ifuẹn gue iran, a ma miẹn nọ fuan vbe uwu iran, vbọ gberra ovbi ọfuan. Evbọzẹe nọ na vbe yerriọ, ọre ne ẹmwẹ ne ebe nọhuanrẹn tae mieke na sẹ.
13 But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves.
13 Sokpan, mẹ bu ruẹ dee nian. Te I ta ẹmwẹ na hia vbe agbọn na, ne ọyẹnmwẹ nọ sẹ mwẹ mieke na gha sẹ iran, ọ ghi vbe sẹ iran otọ ẹko.
14 I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.
14 Ẹmwẹ ne u tama mwẹ, I tama iran nẹ, sokpan, agbọn khẹko iran, rhunmwuda, iran i re ọghe agbọn na, zẹvbe ne imẹ i vbe re ọghe agbọn na.
15 “I do not request that you take them out of the world, but that you watch over them because of the wicked one.
15 “I ma we ne u viọ iran hin agbọn na rre, sokpan, te I we ne u gha gbaroghe iran, ne obọ ọmwa dan nii ghẹ vba iran.
16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.
16 Iran i re ọghe agbọn na, vbene imẹ i vbe re ọghe agbọn na.
17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.
17 Ya ẹmwata kpe iran huan; ẹmwata ẹre ẹmwẹ ruẹ khin.
18 Just as you sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
18 Zẹvbe ne uwẹ gie imẹ gha die agbọn, erriọ ẹre imẹ vbe gie iran la uwu agbọn.
19 And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, so that they also may be sanctified by means of truth.
19 I keghi kpe egbe mwẹ huan rhunmwuda iran, na mieke na ya ẹmwata kpe iran huan.
20 “I make request, not concerning these only, but also concerning those putting faith in me through their word,
20 “Ẹ i re iran na ọkpa ẹre I na erhunmwu na, sokpan, I vbe na erhunmwu ne emwa ni gha lekpa ikporhu ọghe iran do ya mwẹ yi.
21 so that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
21 Ẹghẹ nii, iran hia ghi do gha re ọkpa, zẹvbe ne uwẹ ne Evbavba vbe ya gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, mẹ na vbe gu uwẹ gha rrọọ vbe akugbe. Iran ghi vbe gu ima gha rrọọ vbe akugbe, ne agbọn mieke na yayi wẹẹ, wẹ ẹre ọ gie mwẹ rre.
22 I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one.
22 Uyi ne u mu yọ mwẹ egbe, I vbe muẹn ye iran egbe nẹ, ne iran mieke na gha re ọkpa, zẹvbe ne imẹ vbe ruẹ vbe re ọkpa.
23 I in union with them and you in union with me, in order that they may be perfected into one, so that the world may know that you sent me and that you loved them just as you loved me.
23 Mẹ gu iran rrọọ vbe akugbe, wẹ vbe gu imẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, ne iran mieke na gele gha re ọkpa. Ẹghẹ nii, agbọn ghi do rẹn wẹẹ, wẹ ẹre ọ gie mwẹ rre, kevbe wẹẹ, u hoẹmwẹ iran zẹvbe ne u vbe hoẹmwẹ mwẹ.
24 Father, I want those whom you have given me to be with me where I am, in order that they may look upon my glory that you have given me, because you loved me before the founding of the world.
24 Evbavba, I hoo ne emwa ne u viọ mẹ gha rre ehe ne I ye, ne iran mieke na gha bẹghe uyi ne u mu yọ mwẹ egbe, rhunmwuda, vbene a te yi agbọn na, u hoẹmwẹ mwẹ nẹ.
25 Righteous Father, the world has, indeed, not come to know you, but I know you, and these have come to know that you sent me.
25 Erha nọ ru emwi nọ gbae, vbene ẹmwata, agbọn ma rẹn ruẹ, sokpan, mẹ rẹn ruẹ; iran na ne u viọ mẹ, vbe do rẹn nẹ wẹẹ, wẹ ẹre ọ gie mwẹ rre.
26 I have made your name known to them and will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them.”
26 I gi iran rẹn eni ruẹ nẹ, erriọ ẹre I khian ye gha ru ẹre khian, ne iran mieke na vbe gha mwẹ egbe ahoẹmwọmwa ne u mwẹ mẹ, mẹ vbe iran ghi vbe gha rrọọ vbe akugbe.”
