15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the cultivator.
15 “Mẹ ọre vaẹn ne vaẹn, Erha mwẹ ọre enọ gbaroghe ẹre.
2 He takes away every branch in me not bearing fruit, and he cleans every one bearing fruit, so that it may bear more fruit.
2 Ọ gha miẹn abọ ke abọ nẹi mọ vbe egbe mwẹ, ọ ghi fiaẹn fua. Ọ gha miẹn nọ mọ vbọ, ọ ghi kpannọ igẹngẹn ọnrẹn kua, nọ mieke na gha mọ ẹsẹse; ẹghẹ nii, ọ ghi khian nẹi mwẹ orra.
3 You are already clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.
3 Wa khian nẹi mwẹ orra nẹ, rhunmwuda ẹmwẹ ne I tama uwa.
4 Remain in union with me, and I will remain in union with you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you unless you remain in union with me.
4 Wa ye gha gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, mẹ gha vbe gha gu uwa rrọọ vbe akugbe. Abọ erhan e vaẹn i khian sẹtin mọ, vbe ẹ i re te ọ sikan mu erhan e vaẹn. Erriọ vbe ye, wa i khian sẹtin mọ, vbe ẹ i re te uwa ye gha gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe.
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever remains in union with me and I in union with him, this one bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing at all.
5 Mẹ ọre erhan e vaẹn; wa ọre avbe abọ ni rrọọ. Ọmwaikọmwa nọ ye gu mwẹ gha rrọọ vbe akugbe, mẹ na vbe gu ẹre gha rrọọ vbe akugbe, ọ ghi gha mọ ẹsẹse. Wa i khian sẹtin ru emwi rhọkpa hiehie, vbe ẹ i re te imẹ rhie obọ ba ẹre.
6 If anyone does not remain in union with me, he is thrown out like a branch and dries up. And men gather those branches and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
6 Adeghẹ ọmwaikọmwa i ghi gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, a ghi fiaẹn fua vbe na ghee abọ erhan, ọ ghi kaka. Emwa ghi do koko avbe abọ erhan nii, iran ghi ya hẹ ọre ku erhẹn, iran ghi giẹn ruan.
7 If you remain in union with me and my sayings remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will take place for you.
7 Adeghẹ uwa na ye gu mwẹ gha rrọọ vbe akugbe, wa na vbe kọ ẹmwẹ mwẹ ye ekhọe, emwi ke emwi ne uwa nọ rẹn gha sẹ uwa obọ.
8 My Father is glorified in this, that you keep bearing much fruit and prove yourselves my disciples.
8 Adeghẹ uwa na ye gha mọ ọmọ nibun, wa na vbe gha rhie ẹre ma wẹẹ, erhuanegbe mwẹ ẹre uwa khin, emwa ghi rhunmwuda ọni gha rhie uyi ne Erha mwẹ.
9 Just as the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; remain in my love.
9 Vbene Evbavba hoẹmwẹ mwẹ, erriọ ẹre I vbe hoẹmwẹ uwa; wa dobọ mu ahoẹmwọmwa mwẹ.
10 If you observe my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have observed the commandments of the Father and remain in his love.
10 Adeghẹ uwa na gha lele uhi mwẹ, ahoẹmwọmwa ne I mwẹ ne uwa i khian fafa, zẹvbe ne ahoẹmwọmwa ne Evbavba mwẹ mẹ ma vbe fafa, rhunmwuda ne I na lele uhi ẹre.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be made full.
11 “Te I ta ẹmwẹ na hia ma uwa, ne ọyẹnmwẹ nọ sẹ mwẹ mieke na vbe gha sẹ uwa, ọyẹnmwẹ nọ sẹ uwa ghi vbe gha re nọ sẹ otọ ẹko.
12 This is my commandment, that you love one another just as I have loved you.
12 Uhi ne imẹ yi ne uwa na khin: Wa gha hoẹmwẹ egbe, zẹvbe ne imẹ vbe hoẹmwẹ uwa.
13 No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his life in behalf of his friends.
13 Ahoẹmwọmwa nọ sẹ ọre i rrọọ, ne ọmwa wu ne avbe ọsiọre.
14 You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.
14 Ọse mwẹ ẹre uwa khin, deghẹ uwa na gha lele uhi ne I gbe ne uwa.
15 I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, because I have made known to you all the things I have heard from my Father.
15 I i ghi tie uwa eviẹn, rhunmwuda, ọviẹn ma rẹn emwi ne arowa ẹre rẹnrẹn. Sokpan, ọse ẹre I ghi tie uwa re, rhunmwuda, emwi hia ne I họn vbe unu Erha mwẹ, I ta ehia ma uwa nẹ.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you, and I appointed you to go and keep bearing fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that no matter what you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
16 Ẹ i re uwa ẹre ọ zẹ mwẹ, sokpan, mẹ ẹre ọ zẹ uwa; I na we ne uwa ya gha mọ, ọmọ ne uwa mọ ghi vbe gha re nẹi fo vbe otọ. Ẹghẹ nii, emwi ke emwi ne uwa nọ Evbavba re vbe eni mwẹ, ọ gha ru ẹre ne uwa.
17 “These things I command you, that you love one another.
17 “Te I yi avbe uhi na ne uwa, ne uwa mieke na hoẹmwẹ egbe.
18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
18 Adeghẹ agbọn na gha khẹko uwa, wa ghi rẹn wẹẹ, iran ka khẹko mwẹ nẹ, iran ke do gha khẹko uwa.
19 If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.
19 Akpawẹ ọghe agbọn na ẹre uwa khin, agbọn na gha te hoẹmwẹ uwa zẹvbe ọghẹe. Sokpan, ugbẹnvbe a miẹn wẹẹ, wa i re ọghe agbọn na, rhunmwuda, I zẹ uwa hin agbọn na rre nẹ, ọna ẹre ọ si ẹre ne agbọn na khẹko uwa.
20 Keep in mind the word I said to you: A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours.
20 Wa ghẹ mianmian ẹmwẹ ne I ka tama uwa, ne I na wẹẹ: Ọviẹn ma sẹ enarẹn. Adeghẹ iran na zẹ mwẹ kpokpo, iran gha vbe zẹ uwa kpokpo; adeghẹ iran na ya ẹmwẹ mwẹ ru emwi, iran gha vbe ya ọghe uwa ru emwi.
21 But they will do all these things against you on account of my name, because they do not know the One who sent me.
21 Ne uwa na re erhuanegbe mwẹ, ẹre ọ khian ya iran ru uwa avbe emwi na hia, rhunmwuda, iran ma rẹn Ọmwa nii nọ gie mwẹ rre.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin. But now they have no excuse for their sin.
22 Akpawẹ I ma rre do gu iran guan, iran i ghẹ te rriabe orukhọ rhọkpa. Sokpan, banbanna nian, iran i ghi miẹn emwi ne iran khian mu na wẹẹ, ọ ya iran ru orukhọ.
23 Whoever hates me also hates my Father.
23 Ọmwaikọmwa nọ khẹko mwẹ, te ọ vbe khẹko Erha mwẹ.
24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have both seen me and hated me as well as my Father.
24 Akpawẹ I ma sirra iran ru iwinna ọyunnuan ne ọmwa rhọkpa ma he ka ru, iran i ghẹ te rriabe orukhọ rhọkpa; sokpan, iran miẹn mwẹ nẹ, iran na gha khẹko mwẹ, iran na vbe gha khẹko Erha mwẹ ba ẹre.
25 But this happened in order to fulfill the word written in their Law: ‘They hated me without cause.’
25 Sokpan, te ọna sunu, ne ẹmwẹ na gbẹn ye ebe Uhi iran mieke na sẹ, nọ khare wẹẹ: ‘Iran khẹko mwẹ, vbene I ma na mwẹ emwi rhọkpa ne I ru iran re.’
26 When the helper comes that I will send you from the Father, the spirit of the truth, which comes from the Father, that one will bear witness about me;
26 Ẹghẹ nọ gha ya rre ighẹ ọyọmwabọ nii, nọ re orhiọn ẹmwata, ne I khian gie ke ehe ne Evbavba ye gha dee, nọ vbe ke obọ Evbavba rre, ọ gha sẹ osẹ mẹ;
27 and you, in turn, are to bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
27 te uwa tobọ uwa khian vbe sẹ osẹ mẹ, rhunmwuda, ke otọ gha dee, ẹre uwa ke gu mwẹ rrọọ.
