14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me.
14 “Wa ghẹ gi emwi rhọkpa kpokpo uwa vbe orhiọn. Wa mu ẹtin yan Osanobua; wa vbe mu ẹtin yan mwẹ.
2 In the house of my Father are many dwelling places. Otherwise, I would have told you, for I am going my way to prepare a place for you.
2 Ehe na dia wa bun vbe owa Erha mwẹ. Akpawẹ ẹ i gele ye vberriọ, I gha te tama uwa. Sokpan, erriọ gele nọ, ọni ẹre ọ si ẹre ne I na khian, ne I ya mwamwa ehe khẹ uwa vba.
3 Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you home to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
3 Adeghẹ I na kpa ya mwamwa ehe khẹ uwa, I gha werriegbe rre, ne I do tobọ mwẹ viọ uwa gha rrie owa mwẹ, ne uwa miehe na gha rre ehe ne imẹ vbe ye.
4 And where I am going, you know the way.”
4 Wa rẹn odẹ na la sẹ ehe ne imẹ rrie na.”
5 Thomas said to him: “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
5 E Tọmọs na ghi tama rẹn wẹẹ: “Enọyaẹnmwa, ma ma rẹn ehe ne u rrie. Vbe ima khian ghi ya rẹn odẹ na la sẹ ọre hẹ?”
6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
6 Jesu na tama rẹn wẹẹ: “Mẹ ọre odẹ, ẹmwata kevbe arrọọ. Ọmwa nọ gha sẹtin bu Evbavba gha dee i rrọọ, vbe ẹ i re te ọ la obọ mwẹ.
7 If you men had known me, you would have known my Father also; from this moment on you know him and have seen him.”
7 Akpawẹ uwa gele rẹn mwẹ, wa gha te vbe rẹn Erha mwẹ; ke eban kpa nian, wa rẹn ọnrẹn nẹ, wa vbe miẹn ọnrẹn nẹ.”
8 Philip said to him: “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”
8 E Filip na tama rẹn wẹẹ: “Enọyaẹnmwa, gie Evbavba ma ima, ọni ọkpa ẹre ima wa gualọ.”
9 Jesus said to him: “Even after I have been with you men for such a long time, Philip, have you not come to know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father also. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
9 Jesu na tama rẹn wẹẹ: “E Filip, eban ẹre ima vbe uwa ke rrọọ ra, ne u ma na he ye rẹn mwẹ? Ọmwaikọmwa nọ miẹn mwẹ nẹ, vbe miẹn Evbavba nẹ. Vbọ ghi zẹ ne u na kha wẹẹ, ‘Gie Evbavba ma ima’?
10 Do you not believe that I am in union with the Father and the Father is in union with me? The things I say to you I do not speak of my own originality, but the Father who remains in union with me is doing his works.
10 Wẹ ma yayi wẹẹ, I gu Evbavba rrọọ vbe akugbe, Evbavba vbe gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe? Ẹ i re ẹmwẹ obọ mwẹ ẹre I tama uwa, sokpan, Evbavba nọ gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, ẹre ọ winna iwinna rẹn.
11 Believe me that I am in union with the Father and the Father is in union with me; otherwise, believe because of the works themselves.
11 Ne I na tama uwa wẹẹ, I gu Evbavba rrọọ vbe akugbe, Evbavba vbe gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, ọ khẹke ne uwa ya mwẹ yi. Sokpan, deghẹ ọni ma sẹ, wa rhunmwuda avbe iwinna nii yayi.
12 Most truly I say to you, whoever exercises faith in me will also do the works that I do; and he will do works greater than these, because I am going my way to the Father.
12 Ne I ta ẹmwata ne uhunmwu ẹmwẹ ma uwa, ọmwaikọmwa nọ mu ẹtin yan mwẹ gha ru egbe iwinna ne I ru; ọ gha kue ru iwinna ni sẹ enena, rhunmwuda, I rrie ehe ne Evbavba ye.
13 Also, whatever you ask in my name, I will do this, so that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son.
13 Deba ọni, emwi ke emwi ne uwa nọ rẹn vbe eni mwẹ, I gha ru ẹre ne uwa, na mieke na la egbe Ọmọ rhie uyi ne Evbavba.
14 If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.

15 “If you love me, you will observe my commandments.

16 And I will ask the Father and he will give you another helper to be with you forever,

17 the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither sees it nor knows it. You know it, because it remains with you and is in you.
17 Ọni ọre orhiọn ẹmwata ne agbọn i khian sẹtin miẹn yi, rhunmwuda, iran i bẹghe ẹre, amaiwẹ te iran khian rẹn ọnrẹn. Sokpan, wa rẹn ọnrẹn, rhunmwuda, ọ gu uwa rrọọ, ọ vbe rre uwu uwa.
18 I will not leave you bereaved. I am coming to you.

19 In a little while the world will see me no more, but you will see me, because I live and you will live.

20 In that day you will know that I am in union with my Father and you are in union with me and I am in union with you.
20 Vbe ẹdẹ ne ẹdẹrriọ, wa gha rẹn wẹẹ, I gu Erha mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe kevbe wẹẹ, wa gu mwẹ rrọọ vbe akugbe, mẹ vbe gu uwa rrọọ vbe akugbe.
21 Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. In turn, whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will clearly show myself to him.”
21 Ọmwaikọmwa nọ rhan obọ miẹn uhi mwẹ yi, ọ na vbe gha lelẹe, ọmwa vberriọ ẹre ọ hoẹmwẹ mwẹ. Ọmwaikọmwa nọ hoẹmwẹ mwẹ, Erha mwẹ ghi vbe hoẹmwẹ ọnrẹn; erriọ ẹre imẹ khian vbe hoẹmwẹ ọnrẹn, I ghi gele gie egbe mwẹ ma rẹn.”
22 Judas, not Is·carʹi·ot, said to him: “Lord, what has happened that you intend to show yourself clearly to us and not to the world?”
22 E Judas (ẹ i re Judas Iskariọt nọ rrọọ) keghi nọ rẹn wẹẹ: “Enọyaẹnmwa, vbọsiẹ ne u ma na hoo ne u gie egbuẹ ma agbọn, ne u khian na do gie egbuẹ ma ima?”
23 In answer Jesus said to him: “If anyone loves me, he will observe my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.
23 Jesu na wanniẹn ọnrẹn wẹẹ: “Adeghẹ ọmwaikọmwa na hoẹmwẹ mwẹ, ọ gha ya ẹmwẹ ne I tae ru emwi, Erha mwẹ ghi vbe hoẹmwẹ ọnrẹn. Ẹghẹ nii, mẹ vbe Erha mwẹ ghi bu ẹre gha dee, do gu ẹre gha rrọọ.
24 Whoever does not love me does not observe my words. The word that you are hearing is not mine, but belongs to the Father who sent me.
24 Ọmwaikọmwa nọ ma hoẹmwẹ mwẹ, ẹ i ya ẹmwẹ ne I tae ru emwi. Ẹmwẹ ne I tama uwa i re ẹmwẹ obọ mwẹ, sokpan, ọghe Evbavba nọ gie mwẹ rre nọ.
25 “I have spoken these things to you while I am still with you.
25 “Te I ta ẹmwẹ na hia ma uwa, vbene I na ye gu uwa rrọọ.
26 But the helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach you all things and bring back to your minds all the things I told you.

27 I leave you peace; I give you my peace. I do not give it to you the way that the world gives it. Do not let your hearts be troubled nor let them shrink out of fear.
27 I sẹ ọfunmwegbe rae ne uwa; I ya ọfunmwegbe mwẹ we uwa. I ma rhie ẹre ne uwa vbene agbọn ya rhie ẹre ne emwa. Wa ghẹ gi emwi rhọkpa kpokpo uwa vbe orhiọn, wa ghẹ vbe gi ohan mu uwa hiehie.
28 You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am.
28 Wa họn vbe I tama uwa wẹẹ, ‘I gha kpa, sokpan, I gha vbe werriegbe bu uwa rre.’ Adeghẹ uwa hoẹmwẹ mwẹ, te uwa khian gha ghọghọ wẹẹ I bu Evbavba khian, rhunmwuda, Evbavba kpọlọ sẹ mwẹ.
29 So now I have told you before it occurs, so that you may believe when it does occur.

30 I will not speak with you much more, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has no hold on me.

31 But for the world to know that I love the Father, I am doing just as the Father has commanded me to do. Get up, let us go from here.
