3 Once again he entered into a synagogue, and a man with a withered hand was there.

3 Ọ keghi werriegbe la e sinagọg; okpia ọkpa ne obọ ẹre ọkpa sikuẹn kegha rre evba.


2 So they were watching him closely to see whether he would cure the man on the Sabbath, in order to accuse him.

2 Rhunmwuda ọni, iran na wa rhie aro ye ọre egbe, ne iran ghee ẹre deghẹ ọ gha mu okpia nii egbe rran vbe Ẹdẹ Ikẹtin, ne iran mieke na ba ẹre ifiẹzọ.


3 He said to the man with the withered hand: “Get up and come to the center.”

3 Ọ keghi tama okpia nii ne obọ ẹre ọkpa sikuẹn wẹẹ: “Kpaegbe gha die adesẹneva.”


4 Next he said to them: “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

4 Iyeke ọni, Jesu na nọ iran wẹẹ: “De ne uhi kue yi vbọ? Na gha ru emwi esi vbe Ẹdẹ Ikẹtin nọ ra, ra na gha ru emwi dan? Na sinmwi ọmwa ye agbọn vbe Ẹdẹ Ikẹtin nọ ra, ra na gbe ọmwa rua?” Sokpan, iran keghi hunwan kpọkpọkpọ.


5 After looking around at them with indignation, being thoroughly grieved at the insensibility of their hearts, he said to the man: “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

5 Jesu keghi ghee iran lẹga, na kha na, ohu iran muẹn; ọ keghi dae ẹsẹse, rhunmwuda ne iran na mwẹ ekhọe nọ wegbe. Ọ na ghi tama okpia nii wẹẹ: “Niẹn obọ ruẹ.” Ọ na niẹn ọnrẹn, ẹre obọ ẹre na do gha maan.


6 At that the Pharisees went out and immediately began holding council with the party followers of Herod against him, in order to kill him.

6 Ẹre avbe Farisi na ghi ladian; vbobọvbobọ nii, iran na suẹn gha gu ekpayẹ e Hẹrọd so uma, ne iran mieke na gbe Jesu rua.


7 But Jesus departed for the sea along with his disciples, and a great multitude from Galʹi·lee and from Ju·deʹa followed him.

7 Sokpan, Jesu kevbe erhuanegbe ẹre keghi kpa gha rrie okun, ọkhọngborrie emwa ni ke Galili kevbe Judia rre, keghi bi lelẹe.


8 Even from Jerusalem and from Id·u·meʹa and from across the Jordan and from around Tyre and Siʹdon, a great multitude came to him when they heard about the many things he was doing.

8 Uhiẹn, emwa eso ke Jerusalẹm rre, eso ke Idumia rre, eso ke obọ nọkpa ọghe Jọdan rre, vbene eso na ke ikinkin ọghe Taia kevbe Saidọn rre. Iran hia keghi bi gha die eke nọ ye, vbe iran họn emwi nibun nọ ghaa ru.


9 And he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him so that the crowd would not press in on him.

9 Ọ na ghi tama erhuanegbe ẹre, ne iran mwamwa okọ nekherhe ne irẹn, ne emwa ni gbẹbu ghẹ ya khuakhua irẹn gbua.


10 Because he cured many, all those who had serious diseases were crowding around him to touch him.

10 Rhunmwuda nọ na mu emwa nibun egbe rran, emwa hia ni mwẹ emianmwẹ nọ wegbe keghi ma ga ẹre, ne iran mieke na ya obọ kaan rẹn.


11 Even the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, would fall down before him and cry out and say: “You are the Son of God.”

11 Uhiẹn, ẹghẹ ke ẹghẹ ne avbe orhiọn dan ya bẹghe ẹre, iran ghi de gbe otọ vbe odaro ọre, iran ghi rhie so wẹẹ: “Wẹ ọre Ovbi Osanobua.”


12 But many times he sternly ordered them not to make him known.

13 He ascended a mountain and summoned those whom he wanted, and they came to him.

14 And he formed a group of 12, whom he also named apostles, those who were to accompany him and whom he would send out to preach

15 and to have authority to expel demons.

16 And the group of 12 that he formed were Simon, to whom he also gave the name Peter,

17 James the son of Zebʹe·dee and John the brother of James (he also gave these the name Bo·a·nerʹges, which means “Sons of Thunder”),

19 and Judas Is·carʹi·ot, who later betrayed him. Then he went into a house,

20 and again the crowd gathered, so that they were not able even to eat a meal.

21 But when his relatives heard about it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying: “He has gone out of his mind.”

21 Sokpan, ẹgbẹe ọre ghi họn ẹmwẹ na, iran na ladian ne iran ya muẹn, rhunmwuda, iran kegha kha wẹẹ: “Ẹrherhe ẹre ma ghi gba.”


22 Also, the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying: “He has Be·elʹze·bub, and he expels the demons by means of the ruler of the demons.”

22 Deba ọni, avbe skraib ni ke Jerusalẹm rre, na gha kha wẹẹ: “E Biẹlzibọb ẹre ọ loo ẹre; ẹtin ọkaolotu ọghe avbe orhiọn dan, ẹre ọ ya khulo avbe orhiọn dan kua.”


23 So after calling them to him, he spoke to them with illustrations: “How can Satan expel Satan?

23 Ọ ghi tie iran sikẹ egbe nẹ, ọ na zẹ erre ma iran, ọ na wẹẹ: “De vbene Setan khian vbe ya khu e Setan ladian hẹ yi?


24 If a kingdom becomes divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;

24 Arriọba gha wannọ egbe, ọ ghi de;


25 and if a house becomes divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

25 adeghẹ iwannegbe na vbe gha rre owa, owa nii ghi zagha.


26 Also, if Satan has risen up against himself and has become divided, he cannot stand but is coming to an end.

26 Erriọ vbe ye, adeghẹ e Setan na gha gu egbe ẹre khọn, a na ghi miẹn wẹẹ, iwannegbe rrọọ nẹ, ọni rhie ma wẹẹ, ọghẹe fo nẹ, ọ ghi gbẹro.


27 In fact, no one who enters the house of a strong man is able to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Only then can he plunder his house.

27 Vbene ẹmwata, ọmwa gha gbe urho la owa olẹtin, ẹ i khian sẹtin viọ ọre emwi, vbe ẹ i re te ọ ka gbalọ olẹtin nii yotọ nẹ. Ọ gha ghi gbae rhie fi otọ nẹ, ọ ke sẹtin viọ ọre emwi.


28 Truly I say to you that all things will be forgiven the sons of men, no matter what sins they commit and what blasphemies they speak.

28 Ne I ta ẹmwata ma uwa, orukhọ hia ne emwa nagbọn rhirhi ru, ra ẹmwẹ dan ne iran rhirhi ta, a gha yabọ iran.


29 But whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit has no forgiveness forever but is guilty of everlasting sin.”

29 Sokpan, ọmwaikọmwa nọ fi unu gie orhiọn nọhuanrẹn, a i khian yabọe ẹdẹdẹmwẹdẹ, te ọmwa nii rriabe orukhọ ọghe etẹbitẹ.”


30 He said this because they were saying: “He has an unclean spirit.”

30 Te ọ ta ẹmwẹ na, rhunmwuda ne iran na gha kha wẹẹ: “Orhiọn dan ẹre ọ loo ẹre.”


31 Now his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.

31 Ẹre iyẹe kevbe etiọnrẹn nikpia na rre, iran na mudia ye orere, iran na gie ọmwa nọ ya tie ẹre rre.


32 As there was a crowd sitting around him, they said to him: “Look! Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.”

32 Zẹvbe ne emwa ni gbẹbu ya tota lẹga ẹre, iran na tama rẹn wẹẹ: “Ya ghee iyuẹ kevbe etuẹn nikpia vbe orere, iran nọ ẹmwẹ ruẹ.”


33 But he replied to them: “Who are my mother and my brothers?”

33 Sokpan, ọ na wanniẹn iran wẹẹ: “De ọmwa nọ re iye mwẹ? De emwa ni re etẹn mwẹ?”


34 Then he looked at those sitting around him in a circle and said: “See, my mother and my brothers!

34 Iyeke ọni, ọ na ghee emwa ni tota lẹga ẹre, ọ na wẹẹ: “Iran na, ọre iye mwẹ kevbe etẹn mwẹ!


35 Whoever does the will of God, this one is my brother and sister and mother.”

35 Ọmwaikọmwa nọ ru emwi ne Osanobua hoo, ọmwa nii ọre ọtẹn mwẹ nokpia kevbe ọtẹn mwẹ nokhuo kevbe iye mwẹ.”
