11 Now when they were getting near to Jerusalem, to Bethʹpha·ge and Bethʹa·ny at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples
11 Iran ghi sikẹ e Jerusalẹm nẹ, vbe iran sẹ e Bẹtfagi kevbe Bẹtani vbe Oke Ọliv, Jesu keghi gie erhuanegbe ẹre eva uhunmwu,
2 and told them: “Go into the village that is within sight, and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied on which no man has sat until now. Untie it and bring it here.
2 ọ na tama iran wẹẹ: “Wa gha rrie igue nọ rre odaro vba; wa gha wa la igue nii, wa gha bẹghe ovbi ekẹtẹkẹtẹ na dee re, ne ọmwa rhọkpa ma he ka hin do sẹ ebanban. Wa rhan rẹn, ne uwa muẹn gha die emwa.
3 And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here right away.’”
3 Adeghẹ ọmwa rhọkpa na nọ uwa wẹẹ, ‘Vbọzẹ ne uwa na rhan rẹn?’ wa ghi wẹẹ, ‘Enọyaẹnmwa ẹre ọ khian loo ẹre; ọ gha vbe muẹn rre banbanna.’”
4 So they went away and found the colt tied at a door, outside on the side street, and they untied it.
4 Ẹre iran na kpa, iran na miẹn ovbi ekẹtẹkẹtẹ nii vbe a dee ẹre ye onurho owa ọkpa vbe idunmwu ọkpa; ẹre iran na rhan rẹn.
5 But some of those standing there said to them: “What are you doing untying the colt?”
6 They told them just what Jesus had said, and they let them go.
7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and they put their outer garments on it, and he sat on it.
7 Iran keghi mu ovbi ekẹtẹkẹtẹ nii bu e Jesu gha dee, iran na waa ukpọn ne iran yọ ke odukhunmwu yan rẹn, ẹre Jesu na tota yan rẹn.
8 Also, many spread their outer garments on the road, but others cut down foliage from the fields.
8 Deba ọni, emwa nibun keghi waa ukpọn ne iran yọ ke odukhunmwu lele odẹ, sokpan, eso na ya gia ebe ke oha rre.
9 And those going in front and those coming behind kept shouting: “Save, we pray! Blessed is the one who comes in Jehovah’s name!
9 Emwa ni ke odaro nẹẹn kevbe ni lelẹe dee vbe iyeke kegha wee, iran na gha kha wẹẹ: “Lahọ, miẹn ọnrẹn fan! Afiangbe nọ ne ọmwa nii nọ rre vbe eni e Jehova!
10 Blessed is the coming Kingdom of our father David! Save, we pray, in the heights above!”
10 Afiangbe nọ ne Arriọba nọ dee, ọghe erha mwa ighẹ e Devid! Lahọ, miẹn ọnrẹn fan, wẹ nọ rre ehe nọ yo sẹ!”
11 And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple, and he looked around at everything, but since the hour was already late, he went out to Bethʹa·ny with the Twelve.
11 Ọ keghi la e Jerusalẹm, ẹre ọ na gha rrie uwu ọgua Osa, ọ na ghee emwi hia lẹga vba; sokpan, rhunmwuda wẹẹ ẹghẹ khian buan nẹ, irẹn kevbe iran Iweva nii kegha rrie Bẹtani.
12 The next day when they were leaving Bethʹa·ny, he felt hungry.
12 Iran khian ghi kpa vbe Bẹtani vbe ẹdẹ nọ lelẹe, ohanmwẹ na gha gbe ẹre.
13 From a distance he caught sight of a fig tree that had leaves, and he went to see whether he could find something on it. But on coming to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
13 Ọ keghi ke urria bẹghe erhan e fig ọkpa nọ ghaa mwẹ ebe, ẹre ọ na gha khian nọ ya ghee ẹre deghẹ irẹn gha miẹn ọmọ vbe uhunmwu ẹnrẹn. Sokpan, ọ ghi sẹ evba, ọ ma miẹn emwi rhọkpa vbe uhunmwu ẹnrẹn, vbọ gberra ebe, rhunmwuda, ẹ i re ẹghẹ ne fig ya mọ.
14 So he said to it: “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And his disciples were listening.
14 Ọ na ghi tama erhan nii wẹẹ: “Ọmwa rhọkpa i khian ghi dọlegbe miẹn ọmọ re vbe uhunmwu ruẹ.” Erhuanegbe ẹre kegha danmwehọ.
15 They now came to Jerusalem. There he entered the temple and started to throw out those selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,
16 and he would not let anyone carry a utensil through the temple.
16 ọ ma vbe kue ne ọmwa rhọkpa mu emwi rhọkpa la uwu ọgua Osa gberra.
17 He was teaching and saying to them: “Is it not written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a cave of robbers.”
17 Ọ na gha ma iran emwi, ọ na vbe gha tama iran wẹẹ: “A ma gbẹn ọnrẹn yotọ wẹẹ, ‘Owa erhunmwu ọghe agbẹnvbo hia, ẹre a khian gha tie owa mwẹ re’ ra? Sokpan, wa yae khian ẹgun oyi.”
18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and they began to seek how to kill him; for they were in fear of him, because all the crowd was astounded at his teaching.
18 Avbe ọkaolotu ohẹn kevbe avbe skraib ghi họn ẹmwẹ na, iran na gha gualọ vbene iran khian ya gbe ẹre rua hẹ; iran kegha mu ohan rẹn, rhunmwuda, te odẹ nọ ya gha ma emwa emwi wa gha kpa emwa hia ni gbẹbu odin.
19 When it became late in the day, they went out of the city.
19 Ugbẹnvbe ọ ghi sẹ ẹghẹ ota, iran na kpa hin orere ẹvbo nii rre.
20 But when they were passing by early in the morning, they saw the fig tree already withered from its roots.
20 Sokpan, vbe iran ghi khian vbe odẹ vbe owiẹ fioro, iran keghi bẹghe ẹre wẹẹ, erhan e fig nii kaka nẹ, ke inian rẹn wa ya sẹ odukhunmwu.
21 Peter, remembering it, said to him: “Rabbi, see! the fig tree that you cursed has withered.”
21 E Pita keghi yi erhan e fig nii ẹro, ọ na tama e Jesu wẹẹ: “Rabai, ghee! erhan e fig nii ne u fi ẹre unu kaka nẹ.”
22 In reply Jesus said to them: “Have faith in God.
22 Jesu na ghi tama iran wẹẹ: “Wa mu ẹtin yan Osanobua.
23 Truly I say to you that whoever tells this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but has faith that what he says is going to happen, he will have it happen.
24 This is why I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for, have faith that you have received them, and you will have them.
24 Rhunmwuda ọni, I tama uwa nian wẹẹ, deghẹ uwa na nọ emwi ke emwi vbe erhunmwu, wa na vbe gha mwẹ amuẹtinyan wẹẹ emwi nii sẹ uwa obọ nẹ, ọ ghi gele sẹ uwa obọ.
25 And when you stand praying, forgive whatever you have against anyone, so that your Father who is in the heavens may also forgive you your trespasses.”
26 ——
26 ——
27 They came again to Jerusalem. And as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came
27 Iran na werriegbe gha die Jerusalẹm. Ọ ghi khian vbe ọgua Osa, avbe ọkaolotu ohẹn kevbe avbe skraib, kevbe avbe ediọn na rre,
28 and said to him: “By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”
28 iran na nọ rẹn wẹẹ: “De asẹ ne u mwẹ ne u ya ru avbe emwi na hia? Ra, de ọmwa nọ rhie asẹ na nuẹn ne u ya gha ru avbe emwi na?”
29 Jesus said to them: “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
29 Jesu na tama iran wẹẹ: “I gha nọ uwa ọta ọkpa. Wa gha rhie ewanniẹn mẹ, I gha tama uwa, asẹ ne I mwẹ ne I ya ru avbe emwi na hia.
30 Was the baptism by John from heaven or from men? Answer me.”
30 De eke ne Jọn na miẹn asẹ nọ ya gha dinmwi emwa ye amẹ? Ẹrinmwi nọ ra, ra obọ emwa nagbọn? Wa tama mwẹ.”
31 So they began to reason among themselves, saying: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why, then, did you not believe him?’
32 But dare we say, ‘From men’?” They were in fear of the crowd, for these all held that John had really been a prophet.
32 Sokpan, ohan gha gi ima kha wẹẹ, ‘Obọ emwa nagbọn nọ’ ra?” Ohan emwa ni gbẹbu kegha mu iran, rhunmwuda, te iran hia wa rẹn e Jọn ye akhasẹ.
33 So they answered Jesus: “We do not know.” Jesus said to them: “Neither am I telling you by what authority I do these things.”
